Israel Picture Roundup Part 1 of 3
By BrendanWhen I go on long trips I take a lot of pictures. Coming back from Israel I had many images that didn't quite make the first cut, either because they didn't fit the narrative flow of a post or needed a little cleanup or simply because I didn't have time. Now I have the time so I'm just going to dump a bunch of pictures here that I think are notable, interesting or show something I didn't before, without much in the way of comment. Enjoy.
This is an evening shot looking back at Tel Aviv from our hotel to the North. As you can see, there's lots of parkland and beach.
The Caesarea harbor, which was a mainstay in Mediterranean trading during ancient times.
The Church of the Beatitudes, on top of the eponymous mount.
A wider view of the nature reserve of Tel Dan. Lots and lots of trees.
A closer look at the wall where the icons of gods were kept in the Temple of Pan at Caesarea Philippi.
Sunset on the Sea of Galilee as seen from Capernaum.
Pillars lining the central road of Beit She'an.
The siege ramp at Masada.
Birds flying over the oasis of Ein Gedi.
Update: you can continue on to the second part here.
